JOURNAL ENTRY

Tara Marshall-Tierney

Texas is great. You can feel the ‘big American Dream’ here. Or the big Texan dream - it’s its own world.!!The vast scale of everywhere we’ve been is overwhelming. However, it also can make the world feel quite small. Mapping out where we’ve been we can see how much of the earth we’ve been too, and that, somehow, through putting it all on a map, seems small. These places are so big but they have their limits & edges. And soon you’ll be at another place. It’s just place after place and there’s nowhere with no place. I know they exist but I’m not yet to truly see it.!But then, when we’re in place, it’s all so huge and there’s so much place in one place.!There’s more to see than can ever be seen, more to do than can ever be done. There’s far too much to take in here, more to find that can ever be found.!!And boy oh boy is it hot. !There is not even a sign or slither of a cloud. "
